Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP offers an internship in Construction Management/Project Controls with exposure to diverse projects across facilities. Interns participate as integral team members, making recommendations on project activities and supporting scheduling, budgeting, and document control processes.

The program develops project management skills from scope and budget development through startup, with training opportunities and a pathway to professional PM roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CM or related disciplines is preferred.
• Strong academic performance required.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Track and analyze costs and compare to budgets.
• Ensure document control procedures are followed and create audit trails.
• Assist with bid preparation, award, and contract administration.
• Monitor contractor productivity, progress and performance; report findings.
• Prepare schedule updates and critical path analysis.
