Marathon Petroleum Company LP invites interns to participate as integral team members in construction management and project control activities across diverse projects. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with contractors, and development of professional PM skills.

Interns/co-ops gain exposure to budgeting, scheduling, document control, and risk mitigation while working toward becoming professional project managers able to handle projects of various sizes.

Qualifications

• Majors in Construction Management, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology or related disciplines.
• High academic performance required.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time, indefinite basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program throughout duration of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support construction management and project controls activities on a variety of projects.
• Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and document control procedures.
• Contribute to bid preparation, contract administration, and progress reporting.
• Develop project management skills from scope, budget, and schedule development to startup.
