Job summary

AECOM Hunt seeks a Construction Project Engineer to support the PM team across multiple U.S. locations, including Chicago, IL.

The role involves overseeing construction administration, coordinating with subs and the superintendent, and managing submittals and RFIs to ensure project alignment with the budget and contract. Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s in construction management or related field, internship experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil, structural or mechanical engineering or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Internship experience in the construction industry.
• Experience working on a live construction site.
• Experience engaging with multiple trades on a project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction administration tasks as part of the PM team.
• Prepare subcontractor reports to inform supervisor and client.
• Participate in site visits and coordinate with the superintendent as required.
• Receive, review and submit documents for approval (submittals/RFIs, etc.).
• Assist project costs and scheduling to meet budget and contract requirements.
• Work with document control and project management systems to keep data up-to-date.
• Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
