Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to be based in the Chicago, IL area and other listed locations. This role supports the Project Management team on-site and is expected to begin in Summer 2027.

You will assist with administration tasks, submittals, RFIs and coordination with field personnel. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, internship or live-site experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Internship experience in construction industry is a plus.
• Experience working on a live construction site and coordinating with multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction administration tasks to support Project Management.
• Prepare subcontractor reports to keep Supervisor and Client informed of progress.
• Participate in site visits and coordinate with the superintendent as required.
• Receive, review and submit documents for approval (Submittals/RFIs, etc.).
• Assist project manager with costs and scheduling to ensure on-budget delivery.
