Job summary

The Encompass Group is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Seattle, WA team. You will support Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver high-quality commercial and wood-frame construction projects.

Responsibilities include preparing RFIs and CICs, organizing submittals and drawings, and providing technical and operations support such as take-offs, scheduling, and safety management on multi-terrain job sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Engineering preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project) and project management tools such as Bluebeam, Viewpoint, or Autodesk.
• Working knowledge of commercial and wood-frame construction phases and disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Documentation: Initialize, maintain, and track RFIs, CICs, subcontractor change orders, and project closeout documents.
• Submittals & Drawings: Organize product submittals, samples, as-built drawings, and review contract plans for errors.
• Technical & Operations Support: Complete material take-offs, assist with project scheduling, layout, safety, and maintain organized project files.
