Job summary

Millie and Severson is a California-based construction firm seeking a Project Engineer to support delivery of multiple projects. The role involves assisting PMs, site visits, reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, and maintaining project documentation.

A strong team mindset and a readiness to travel to sites across Southern California are essential. Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years of GC/subcontractor experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Internship experience preferred.
• 1–2 years' experience with a general contractor or subcontractor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Southern California and Los Alamitos HQ.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in day-to-day management of one or more construction projects.
• Visit jobsites multiple times a week.
• Review drawings and specifications; validate RFIs.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project docs.
• Support project closeout.
• Coordinate LEED, CalGreen, and SWPPP requirements.
• Maintain project logs and tracking schedules.
• Collaborate with project teams to keep projects moving forward.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
