Job summary

Millie and Severson seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, driving schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

You will manage all phases, lead teams, oversee budgets and procurement, and mentor interns and junior staff, while promoting a strong safety culture across projects in Southern California and at our Los Alamitos headquarters.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of ground-up construction experience with a general contractor.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California and our headquarters in Los Alamitos.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all phases of construction project(s) from startup through closeout
  • Leading project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client communications
  • Overseeing budgets, forecasting, change order management, and contract administration
  • Driving project schedules and identifying opportunities for cost and schedule improvements
  • Prepare and update master schedule
  • Manage procurement and subcontractor performance
  • Identify and mitigate risk
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support and mentor Interns, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers
  • Promoting and enforcing Millie and Severson's safety culture

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while driving schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For
  • 6-10 years of ground-up construction experience with a general contractor
  • Tilt-up groundup construction and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated progression through a Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project Manager career path
  • Strong tenure with previous employers
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California and our headquarters in Los Alamitos
