Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to manage procurement, tracking, coordination, and lifecycle of OFCI equipment, collaborating with Project Managers on scoping and take-offs, and preparing submittals in line with plans and specs.

You will support project scheduling, coordinate drawings, review change proposals, and help close out projects with manuals and turnover documents. A degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years in construction are required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related work experience.
• 2+ years in an engineering, project engineer, or similar construction role.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest and passion for building and the industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, tracking, coordination, and lifecycle of OFCI equipment.
• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
• Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Facilitate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings.
• Draft change orders.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
• Lead close out of project; assemble manuals and warranties for turnover to owner and final payment documents for subcontractors.
• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
• Take ownership of document management applications.
