Job summary

RBA Builders is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution for commercial construction projects. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in both office and jobsite settings, working with seasoned Project Managers and Superintendents.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, quality, and accountability, with opportunities to grow within a value‑driven team. This is a full‑time position requiring both office and field work, including site visits and PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (completed or in progress).
• 1–2+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or related field; internship/co‑op preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, scopes, and specifications.
• Foundational understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to review project documents and identify issues with guidance.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills; able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with Procore or similar platforms; Bluebeam a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Dependability, punctuality, and professional approach.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, completed or in progress.
• One to two or more years of experience in construction, engineering, or a related field; internship or co‑op experience is preferred.
• Basic ability to read and understand construction plans, scopes, and specifications.
• A foundational understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to collaborate and learn.
• The ability to review project documents and identify potential issues with guidance.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms; Bluebeam experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
