Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC seeks a Project Engineer to lead the technical and engineering aspects of construction projects, coordinating with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our internal team to ensure accuracy, resources, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Project Managers on purchasing, submittals, schedules, change management, and turnover documentation, while developing plans, monitoring deliveries, and supporting project close-out.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years experience in an engineer, project engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
• Computer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, and builds relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers on purchasing activities, including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals and confirm that submittals comply with plans and specifications.
• Support development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries, ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Facilitate coordination of drawings with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Draft change orders.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Perform scope take‑offs and estimate costs.
• Lead project close‑out, including assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparing final payment documents for subcontractors.
• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
• Take ownership of document‑management applications.
