Linbeck Group, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee defined scopes under Subcontractor contracts valued from $500k to $10m. The role supports schedule and financial outcomes with a strong focus on construction methods, materials, and sequencing for MEPF systems.

The engineer will manage RFIs, submittals, logs, and documentation, ensuring conformance to contract documents, safety programs, and Lean practices. On-site work with travel as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Or, 4 or more years of Linbeck-related construction project work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience reading drawings and specifications to ensure scope is constructed per contract.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the Linbeck Site Specific Safety Program, including BBS and Safety Walks.
• Read drawings and specifications to ensure the assigned scope is procured and constructed to meet contractual obligations.
• Create internal and external Potential Impacts to notify Owner, Architect, Engineer, and Subcontractor of quality concerns.
• Compose RFIs that are clear and concise for contract documentation.
• Manage the RFI Log to create, monitor, and close RFIs and distribute documentation.
• Create clear submittal log requirements and utilize pull scheduling to meet schedule requirements.
• Create and manage the Contract Document Log and current set with revised docs.
• Incorporate RFIs into the record and current set per Digital Document Management standards.
• Utilize pull scheduling dates to prioritize submittals and meet schedule requirements.
• Manage the submittal log, review submittals, and verify against contract documents.
• Create and manage the Expediting Log to ensure timely material delivery.
• Develop QA/QC checklists and issues in Autodesk for QA/QC management with subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC program elements including A3s and Pre-install Meetings.
• Apply Lean Operating System concepts to reduce wastes on site.
• Compile Subcontractor and Owner closeout documentation (Closeout Manual, O&M’s, Warranties, etc.).
• Assist in GMP and Lump Sum estimates and design-stage cost packages.
• Support changes to the scope through Proposed Change orders with pricing estimates.
