Trautman & Shreve, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer - INTERN to support the project team in coordinating information for execution, scheduling, and billing.

You will assist with organization, budgeting, and implementation, and help resolve field issues under the Project Manager guidance. This internship emphasizes hands-on experience in document control, project scheduling, takeoffs, and coordination with field personnel, with opportunities to learn AutoCAD, MS Office, and project

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or construction software is preferred.
• Strong organization, time management and multi‑tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in driving project flow from inception to completion.
• Review contracts, bid documents, and manage project turnover readiness.
• Support document control: insurance, permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Ensure central saving of documents in project control software.
• Verify drawings distribution to field and update schedules.
• Track deliveries and assist with takeoffs and pricing changes.
• Support billing, collections, and field safety coordination.
• Assist with closeout, obtain as-builts, and escalate critical issues.
