Job summary

Fransenpittman is seeking an Intern Project Engineer to support Operations on site in Englewood, CO. The role involves coordinating with architects and subcontractors, reviewing plans, and helping resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.

You will gain hands-on experience with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC planning while developing in Revizto/Revit and common construction software. Enrollment in a construction management program is required; OSHA 30 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college accredited construction management program.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel; knowledge of Bluebeam is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand project documents (plans, specs).
• Professional communication with all levels of personnel and external partners.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and work independently when needed.
• Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate needed items and resolve conflicts between trade partners to keep projects on schedule.
• Review project plans and specifications to help answer questions when they arise.
• Gather material lead times and ensure on-time review and approval.
• Coordinate delivery of materials with subcontractors and site superintendent.
• Review submittals before sending to Architect for final approval.
• Generate RFIs to the design team.
• Gather and distribute up-to-date plans and specs to all subcontractors.
• Assist with obtaining permits before project start and manage punch lists.
• Compile owner & operations manuals and warranties from subcontractors.
• Gather Revit & Navisworks files to import into Revizto and support QA/QC planning.
