Job summary

Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager with cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, and safety on construction projects. You will manage document flow, submittals, RFIs, and closeout tasks while building strong client and team relationships.

The PE collaborates with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget, upholding CPPI's mission and core values in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related field experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of plans and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible hours aligned with construction project needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize project information to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Create and maintain filing systems, logs for submittals, RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, field orders, and record drawings.
• Lead the submittal process: log, review, track approvals, and distribute.
• Manage RFIs and cost/schedule impact reviews.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and invoicing.
• Support closeout requirements including as-built drawings and punch lists.
• Distribute official contract documents to appropriate parties.
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
• Understand subcontractor scopes to support field operations.
• Support safety protocols and resource needs on site.
• Promote CPPI values and safe jobsite culture.
• Mentor Project Assistants and interns; participate in training.
