Job summary

BEAR Construction seeks a Project Engineer to support the project management team by reviewing construction issues, resolving discrepancies with architects, owners, subcontractors, and vendors. You will manage submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes while helping develop bid packages, schedules, and site utilization programs.

The PE will collaborate with the team to ensure quality, organize documentation, and drive project goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering; two years of related experience acceptable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up.
• Proficient with MS Office and project documentation.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance to codes, QA/QC policies and performance standards.
• Coordinate procurement of permits and inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Develop bid packages, scopes of work, schedules and site utilization.
• Drive project goals as a core team member.
• Learn and use company software.
• Manage document submittals and RFIs.
• Expedite materials, deliveries, and equipment.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
• Prepare internal and external project status reports.
• Manage project close-out and punch-list processes.
