Job summary

FlatironDragados in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Project Engineer to track cost data and ensure projects stay on budget. You will work with engineering and field crews to review schedules, manage resources, and report on financial performance for the SR 400 Express Lanes project.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of construction engineering, with expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, and risk identification to keep the project on track and within milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction engineering experience.
• Experience in cost accounting, basic estimating or resource monitoring.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and cost coding.
• Familiarity with design-build or alternative delivery methods.
• Ability to delegate to engineering teams to move projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm resources.
• Review shop drawings and project data for accuracy.
• Provide technical input for work plans and scheduling.
• Identify budget risks and mitigation options.
• Evaluate production, schedule and budget to track performance.
• Update project schedule weekly for reporting.
• Manage RFIs and ensure accurate project quantities and invoicing.
• Review certificates, permits, and JHAs for safety and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
