Job summary

Atlantach is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Santa Clara to support the General Contractor on a semiconductor test fab, including a small fabrication facility and Critical Utilities Building. This long-term project is expected to last about two years, offering a path to a lasting career with Atlantach.

You will coordinate MEP/CSA work, review drawings and specs, manage RFIs, subcontractors, and track progress, while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, microchip manufacturing or mission-critical facility construction.
• Experience creating RFIs and client correspondence on contract issues.
• Ability to read construction plans and specs and prepare submittals.
• 1+ year with cost control systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP/CSA work packages from design through handover.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
• Manage RFIs, changes, and field coordination issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors, designers, vendors, and other disciplines.
• Monitor installation progress against the project programme and milestones.
• Lead site inspections to verify quality and safety compliance.
• Support constructability reviews and sequencing.
• Track procurement, equipment deliveries, and corrective actions.
• Support testing, commissioning readiness, snagging and turnover.
• Maintain accurate engineering, quality and handover documentation.
• Provide regular progress and risk updates to the Senior Project Manager.

We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Engineer to join our company in Santa Clara. You will be responsible for supporting the General Contractor in delivering a semiconductor test fab comprising a small fabrication facility and Critical Utilities Building. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate MEP or CSA work packages from design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals, method statements and material approvals.
• Manage RFIs, design changes, technical queries and field coordination issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors, designers, vendors and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor installation progress against the construction programme and key milestones.
• Lead site inspections and verify compliance with design, quality and safety requirements.
• Manage interfaces between CSA, mechanical, electrical, process and critical utility systems.
• Support constructability reviews, clash resolution and construction sequencing.
• Track procurement, equipment deliveries, constraints, defects and corrective actions.
• Support testing, commissioning readiness, snagging and system turnover.
• Maintain accurate engineering, quality and handover documentation.
• Provide regular progress, risk and technical updates to the Senior Project Manager.

• You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience supporting semiconductor, advanced technology, microchip manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or other mission-critical facility construction projects.
• Experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
• Ability to prepare subcontract scopes and contracts.
• 1+ years working with cost control systems.
