Job summary

SC Builders in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will master project plans and specifications and help ensure each project is delivered on time and within budget.

You’ll coordinate RFI processes, update schedules with subs and clients, track long-lead items, manage self-perform buyouts, assist with coordination meetings, and oversee closeout and commissioning as needed. Strong communication and a passion for building are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFI process.
• Assist Superintendent with updating schedule and communicating changes to subs/clients; track long-lead items.
• Oversee buyout of self-perform items and small scope tasks (e.g., final clean, signage).
• Assist with OAC & Special Coordination Meetings.
• Manage project closeout and commissioning as needed.

What You’ll Do:

The SC Builders Project Engineer is the Master of Project plans and specifications. You will contribute strategically to ensure that each project is completed on time and within budget.

Primary Areas Responsibilities & Specific Tasks

• Manage RFI Process
• Assist Superintendent with updating schedule and subs/clients on changesManage tracking long-lead items
• Manage buyout of self-perform items (white boards, appliances, etc.) and small scope items such as final clean, code signage, etc.
• Assist with OAC & Special Coordination Meetings
• Manage closeout and commission process, as needed
