Industrial Services Inc. is looking for a talented individual to join our growing commercial/industrial construction firm. The ideal candidate can handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and pays extraordinary attention to detail. In-person work during traditional business hours is generally required, with remote work available depending on circumstances. Our office is clean, comfortable, and progressive, located near numerous restaurants, shopping areas, and just minutes from Downtown Ann Arbor.

Responsibilities:

The primary role involves supporting the Estimating and Project Management teams with information gathering and documentation. Opportunities in tech, marketing, content development, and sales may also be available for interested candidates. The ability to read and understand construction documents is essential.

• ADMIN: Answer phone calls, receive deliveries, and file paperwork. Update documentation, training records, and corporate qualifications as needed.
• ESTIMATING: Manage bid invitations—respond, log, track, and collect documents. Review and file bid addendums. Assist in preparing estimate/proposal documents and complete quantity take-offs. Secure material and equipment pricing. Knowledge of concrete and masonry construction is a plus.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Process and assemble submittals, project, and closeout documents. Prepare field and safety binders. Assist with safety plans, budgets, and productivity tracking.
• ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: Support business development, strategy, MS365 and Procore initiatives, SOP improvements, and pursue personal and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of estimating and project engineering experience.
• Experience in a commercial construction office environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Planswift, and/or Procore.
