The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and seamless execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities include assisting the Management Teams with all technical aspects of project management, coordinating between stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. Technical support involves participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolving design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and work controlling documents in the Prolog database, manage material status reports, process RFI requests, and record meeting minutes.

Location

Remote in the US, with willingness to travel long-term to client projects.

Responsibilities

1. Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities comply with requirements, support construction schedules, participate in planning, design, and resolve design conflicts. Develop and manage engineering procedures and documents.
2. Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track financial progress, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize financial performance.
3. Resource Management: Foster collaboration, guide team members, manage personnel functions, interface with site departments to resolve issues, and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
4. Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
5. Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person, potentially managing small to medium projects.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and interdependent functions.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and employee performance.
