Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Project Engineer to support construction project delivery by managing technical information and document flow among the project team, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

The role ensures drawings, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings are current, coordinated, and available on site for coordination and inspections. Office-based with on-site coordination is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand, and interpret complete construction document sets.
• Proficient in preparing clear RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the submittal register from initiation through approval and closeout.
• Log, route, track, and close submittals per schedule.
• Draft RFIs with proposed solutions and route to design professionals for responses.
• Coordinate drawings and project information to the field from current documents.
• Review shop drawings and submittals against contract documents before approval.
• Support project coordination between team, consultants, subs, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs and project documentation.
• Assist with quantities takeoffs for scope changes and change orders.
• Coordinate closeout documents and ensure complete project closeout.
