Job summary

General Excavating, a Nebraska-based contractor, seeks a Project Coordinator to support the project team from startup through closeout. The role coordinates project setup, budget entry, and data transfer from estimating to operations and accounting, while working with estimating, operations, accounting, and project management to ensure accurate information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with a General Contractor or Subcontractor in a similar role.
• General knowledge of construction related insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Set up new projects after award and ensure accurate entry in company systems.
• Transfer and validate bid information from HCSS to the project software.
• Maintain project master data: job numbers, cost codes, budgets.
• Coordinate startup docs and organize project files.
• Collect and organize owner compliance documents for startup and legal compliance.
• Prepare, issue, and track vendor agreements and documentation.
• Enter and maintain contract, subcontract, and change order data in the accounting system.
