Job summary

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator in Tempe, AZ. The role supports project documentation, logs, and administrative functions across markets including semiconductor, data center, healthcare, and education sectors.

Responsibilities include maintaining contract and subcontract documents, purchase orders, insurance certificates, and safety records, while coordinating mail, shipping, and logs.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years administrative experience.
• Basic knowledge of Safety, Accounting, Purchasing, Subcontracts, Project Start up & Close-out, Contract, Submittals, Pre-Planning, Scheduling, Project Evaluations, Project Changes, and Operating Procedures.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge and work experience showing the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, Project, Access, and Powerpoint, Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, and Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software).
• COVID-19 vaccination required for all new hires.

Responsibilities

• The Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining project documentation including contract documents, subcontract documents, purchase orders, insurance certificates, safety training records, safety inspection reports, correspondence, and other project documentation.
• Receive, and distribute mail and prepare packages for shipping
• Accurately maintain various project logs and spreadsheets
• Various other administrative duties and functions that may be assigned
