Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Apex, North Carolina to support the Project and Senior Project Managers. You will assist with administrative tasks across the design, pre-construction, and construction phases, including managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and bid processes.

You will work independently with minimal oversight, developing relationships with subcontractors and assisting with monthly WIP reports and project timelines.

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
• 2+ years of experience in the construction field and may lead projects up to $2.5M in scope.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Senior PM with administrative tasks across design, pre-construction and construction phases.
• Manage scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and bid processes.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors to obtain information for bids.
• Maintain project schedule and cost controls; monitor progress and surface issues.
