As a Construction Project Coordinator you will hold a critical position within our regional projects team and will be directly responsible for supporting the delivery of challenging corporate interiors projects for a financial services client. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, communicate customer requirements, and proactively manage project-related issues. With your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in project management technology, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
As a Construction Project Coordinator at JLL, you will:
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, project stakeholders and vendors, ensuring all parties are informed of project updates and changes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, financial reports, and progress updates, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Process and record daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Work with Accounting team members, communicating with vendors and clients, and serving as a liaison between Accounting and the Design and Construction teams
- Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals/bids, change orders, and invoices within the Project Management financial systems and confirm accuracy against the budget and/or contract
- Ensure adherence to vendor agreements as it relates to contracts, affidavits & lien waivers
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hourly rate of $34.62 - $43.27, based on experience
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Time required entry
- Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate for hours exceeding 40 per week, manager approval required
Education, Skills, And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in, Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (PREFERRED)
- 5+ years practical experience in construction or accounting (REQUIRED)
- Strong verbal & written communication skills & a meticulous attention to detail (REQUIRED)
- Well-versed in construction methodologies and a strong understanding of the various stages of construction, from concept to close out. (REQUIRED)
- Familiarity with GMP contracts and other types of construction contracts (PREFERRED)
- Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively with multiple individuals on various projects to meet assigned deadlines.
- Software Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with PMWeb is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
