Job summary

OCP Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Project Manager and project team in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

The role involves liaising with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. The candidate will develop construction management knowledge through hands-on responsibilities across the project lifecycle, attend meetings, and contribute to lean construction

Qualifications

• Degree preferred; 3–5 years of construction field or leadership exp may be substituted for degree.
• Must understand construction processes, terminology, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with PM software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Prepare, maintain, and communicate project constraint logs and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor schedules and assist with delays, constraints, or coordination issues.
• Assist with pricing and documentation related to project changes and revised construction documents.
• Coordinate and track submittals and RFIs; assist procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Review and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs, and project information; maintain organized records.
