Job description

The Project Coordinator must be familiar with pre-construction and sales, contributing to our success and growth by owning the sales to operations hand-off, developing relationships, and supporting the sales and operations team. Must be detail-oriented, passionate about creativity, quick to learn sales and systems, and eager to grow with the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Procure materials, subcontractors, and ensure proper handoff of projects to the Operations team.
  2. Manage preparation of deliverables for all project phases.
  3. Create project scope statements, prepare and submit submittal packages, and identify and execute pre-construction change orders.
  4. Identify and process permits, prevailing wage forms, and tax exemption certificates.
  5. Track and identify opportunities for efficiency, such as project material buy-outs.
  6. Maintain document control: receive, file, track, and distribute all construction documents.
  7. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers: submittals, RFIs, preconstruction meetings, and schedule development.
  8. Perform project take-offs (maps).
  9. Collaborate with team members to align on cost, scope, and schedule.
  10. Estimate small projects, develop scope, interact with customers, and handle total project sales.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive project management and coordination experience required.
  • 3 or more years of experience with construction software systems.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a coordination role, preferably in construction.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone, and complete required paperwork.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite; quick to learn new technology and software.
  • Ability to represent the company courteously and professionally.
  • Results-driven and customer-focused mindset.
