Job summary

SupportFinity™ located in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage construction activities and documentation related to airport projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have at least three years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or architecture.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor field construction activities, including oversight of construction coordinators and support staff as authorized by AUS.
  • Support the Airport Project Manager (APM) in coordinating with other City of Austin departments and airport stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractors and internal airport teams including Maintenance, Operations, and Security.
  • Assist with change management, scope development, and constructability reviews during pre‑construction and construction phases.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and progress tracking for design reviews, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Attend and facilitate project meetings including OAC meetings, progress reviews, punch walks, and coordination sessions.
  • Review contractor mobilization plans, QA/QC programs, logistics plans, and safety programs to ensure compliance with contract requirements and airport standards.
  • Monitor construction activities to confirm adherence to approved drawings, specifications, environmental requirements, and contract terms.
  • Support cost management activities including GMP field cost reviews, general conditions, and pay application reviews.
  • Review daily construction reports and weekly work plans to track progress and ensure schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate with airport safety, environmental, and risk management teams to support safe construction operations and maintain site security.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, major coursework in a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work.

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance.

Work Environment
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasionally work near hazardous equipment and machinery, walk on uneven ground, maneuver construction sites, work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and possibly work at heights.
Other Requirements
  • Possession of a valid state or residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short‑term, out‑of‑town assignments may be required. Long‑term, out‑of‑town assignments may also be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
  • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client’s needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
