Purpose: Under general supervision, this position coordinates the engineering and support activities for various projects and/or programs.
May provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training, and guidance to others.
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work. Experience may substitute for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.
May require a valid Texas driver license.
The position of project coordinator for the construction coordination office is needed to aid in coordination of construction projects happening around the city and on specifically identified critical corridors. Construction coordination for all these projects is necessary to ensure that space is used effectively and optimally and to ensure that information is shared effectively with all the stakeholders, including the general public.

They will also assist the engineer as well as the assistant director in disseminating information to various consumers, organize and schedule meetings, coordinate with Information Technology teams in creating GIS tools to assist in recording, processing, storing, and communicating different information to different users.

This position is considered an “Essential” role and is essential to the operations of the City based on the preparation, response, and recovery phase of extraordinary situations or emergency conditions.
