Job summary

Consor in Oakland, CA is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support cost, schedule, budget, forecast, funding, risk, and performance data. You will help ensure leadership has accurate, timely information to drive project decisions and outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining cost-control workbooks, schedules in Primavera P6, and dashboards; preparing variance analyses; coordinating with cross-functional teams; and producing recurring and ad hoc reports using approved templates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, economics, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost control, scheduling, construction or project management, finance, or capital program support.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience supporting transit, rail, infrastructure, construction, or capital programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned cost-control workbooks, cost reports, commitment logs, invoice records, accruals, expenditure logs, and related documentation.
• Support quarterly budget and forecast updates, including ETC and EAC inputs.
• Reconcile project controls data against financial extracts and resolve discrepancies.
• Track budgets, funding, commitments, expenditures, and forecasted cash flow by control account and WBS.
• Prepare cost variance summaries and supporting analyses for review.
• Identify cost trends, variances, and potential impacts to budgets.
• Maintain Primavera P6 schedule data, update logs, calendars, and coding structures.
• Support monthly schedule update reviews and quality checks.
• Extract and analyze schedule information for dashboards and trends.
• Monitor critical paths, milestones, and schedule variances; flag observations.
• Assist with schedule narratives, changes, and change logs.
• Report emerging schedule trends and impacts on delivery.
• Compile data from project teams, contractors, and systems for reporting.
• Maintain dashboards, logs, trackers, databases, and document controls.
• Prepare recurring monthly and ad hoc reports and presentations.
• Identify data variances and prepare concise analyses.
