F.A. Wilhelm Construction is seeking a Project Controls Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on cost and schedule analysis, forecasting, reporting, and risk identification to keep projects on budget and on track.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance against budgets and schedules, developing dashboards, and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement across multiple projects. On-site, full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in construction project controls or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera P6, Procore, Power BI or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project performance against budgets, schedules and KPIs.
• Analyze progress, identify trends, risks and issues.
• Forecast labor, productivity, manpower, and overall performance.
• Develop reports, dashboards and executive summaries for status updates.
• Evaluate schedule updates and impacts on performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve execution and efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Coordinate with PMs, superintendents, estimators, accounting and scheduling engineers to ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor documentation, progress reporting and performance metrics.
• Support implementation of project controls best practices across projects.
