F.A. Wilhelm Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, scheduling, and control for projects in the Fort Wayne area. You will work with the Project Manager to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and quality outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering/related field, 5+ years in construction, and OSHA 30 certification. A proactive, collaborative, and organized mindset is essential to succeed in our team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field.
• 5+ years relevant work experience in the construction industry.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with planning, scheduling, progress measurement and analysis for one major project or multiple smaller projects.
• Develop the schedule for all phases of the build and manage permits and due dates.
• Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits.
• Lead day-to-day management with the Project Superintendent and coordinate construction activities.
• Interface with client, company departments, subcontractors, and government officials to resolve issues.
• Ensure substantial completion per specifications and assist with closeout documentation.
