Job summary

HunaTek Government Solutions is seeking a Project Control Analyst with construction experience to provide financial and project controls support across a federal contract portfolio. The role emphasizes construction management projects and may support professional services contracts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of project controls, project financial analysis, construction accounting, or similar experience.
• Experience working with project managers to develop reliable budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and large dataset analysis.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and EACs for construction and non-construction projects in the Unanet ERP system.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, and remaining costs against contract value and budget.
• Maintain visibility into subcontract awards, commitments, invoices, and change orders.
• Incorporate approved and anticipated changes into project forecasts.
• Review financial results and investigate significant variances in costs, revenue, and margins.
• Support monthly project billing and revenue recognition; reconcile billed, unbilled, and recognized revenue.
• Ensure proper project, task, and cost-code charging.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and communicate variances, trends, and risks clearly.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, reporting, and financial controls.
