Job summary

SLSCO invites a Project Controller to lead financial functions for division projects, overseeing AP/AR, reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. You will partner with project teams and the VP of Accounting to ensure accurate cash flow, internal control, and compliance with company policies.

Travel to project sites is expected. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5+ years of construction accounting, excellent communication, and strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, pivots);

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience in managing financial reporting and budgeting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and pivots preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and manages project AP/AR and financial reporting.
• Work with Project Exec/PM to track change orders and back charges.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and revenue recognition.
• Manage project document repositories and data integrity.
• Develop internal control systems for financial reporting.
• Review monthly financial data for completeness and accuracy.
• Produce monthly owner draw requests and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, budgets and margins.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices; travel to project sites as needed.
