Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Project Controller to manage financial aspects of assigned construction projects across the Western US.

You will partner with Project Managers to monitor budgets, forecast costs, and deliver actionable insights while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role focuses on budgeting, job cost tracking, revenue recognition, and detailed financial reporting, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Project accounting experience within construction, engineering, specialty contracting, or a related project-based industry preferred.
• Direct experience supporting large-scale construction projects, including change order management, forecasting, and cost-to-complete analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial liaison for assigned projects, supporting Project Management with accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actual costs against budgets.
• Prepare detailed financial reports on project performance in alignment with accounting standards.
• Manage project-related billing processes and perform reconciliations.
• Identify financial risks and provide mitigation strategies to project teams.
