Job summary

Turner Construction Company in the United States is seeking an Administrative/Financial Assistant to support profit centers with billing, accounts payable, and project ledger activities in a fast-paced construction environment.

You will assist with monthly closes, audits, insurance documentation, and subcontractor lien waivers, reporting to Senior Accountant or Financial Manager, and you must be organized, detail-oriented and proficient with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• General understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ability to research problems, meet deadlines, and escalate when needed
• Organized, detail oriented, accurate, and able to work independently or with team
• Professional written and verbal communication and office skills
• Data entry and familiarity with databases and computer applications

Responsibilities

• Assist accountant to ensure client contractual requirements are met in regard to billing and accounts receivable.
• Support the accountant to audit client billing and project ledger, in compliance with contract requirements, GAAP and company policy.
• Process accounts payable for vendor invoices and update project ledgers.
• Process accounts payable for subcontractor invoices and ensure lien waivers and insurance requirements are in place.
• Assist with monthly close, posting or accruing client bills and project costs with material value.
• Provide monthly updates to project assets and rentals for insurance documentation with project team.
• Assist with project financial closeout and ensure contract amounts and closeout documentation are met.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
