ABGi USA, Inc. seeks a Construction Accountant to manage the financial performance of multiple construction projects, including job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.

The role partners with project managers to deliver accurate financial reporting and project profitability analysis in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Proven experience in construction accounting.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, project accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, revenue recognition, project profitability reporting, and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage job cost accounting for multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, billings, and overall project profitability.
• Perform project accounting and financial analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile project costs and investigate budget variances.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to provide financial reporting and project insights.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial data within a construction ERP system.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
