Job summary

RealREPP is partnering with a growing national construction firm to hire a Project Accountant for a key ongoing project portfolio.

The role coordinates all phases of construction job costing, prepares billings, and monitors costs against budgets while supporting the Project Manager through the full project lifecycle. You will manage vendor compliance and drive accurate financial reporting, ensuring risk is mitigated and operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• 3–5 years of project accounting experience preferred, ideally within construction.
• Strong accounting knowledge with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professional discretion.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Compile, prepare, and analyze monthly project billings in accordance with contract requirements.
• Perform financial analysis and reconcile project costs versus the approved project budget.
• Process project accounts payable and subcontractor payables accurately and timely.
• Manage vendor compliance including insurance, lien waivers, retention, and W-9 documentation.
• Produce and analyze job-cost tracking reports to monitor project performance and profitability.
• Assist in preparing status reports and maintain accurate project information and budget data.
