Job summary

DN is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support construction project finance. You will manage monthly requisitions, forecast updates, and cash position across multiple projects, ensuring contract compliance and accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 4+ years in accounting/finance within construction, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar ERP systems. Hybrid work options available with competitive rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting or finance experience in construction or project-based work.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Viewpoint Spectrum or construction ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post and track monthly requisitions to owners and subcontractors.
• Assist in project forecast updates and WIP reporting with PMs/PEs.
• Monitor over/under billings; coordinate with PM/PE on resolutions.
• Track high-risk projects and assist with mitigation planning.
• Identify potential write-offs and manage cash position for projects.
• Process subcontractor requisitions and ensure contract compliance.
• Support project closeout reconciliations and document control.
• Understand owner contracts and subcontracts regarding payment terms.
• Collaborate with PMs, PEs and superintendents on project accounting.
• Participate in owner, subcontractor and project meetings as required.
