Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Senior Project Accountant to manage project accounting and financial forecasting for multiple mid-to-large projects. This role involves coordinating with project management, clients, and subcontractors, with primary office-based work and some site travel.

You will work with experienced professionals, participate in training programs, and contribute to accurate project closeouts and reporting while fostering an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 6–10 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with project accounting and forecasting in construction or similar industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, files, and co-policies.
• Conduct timely reviews of requisitions and lien waivers.
• Set up and format project financial forecasts for internal and client reporting.
• Lead monthly forecast meetings and maintain ETCs for labor and expenses.
• Supervise interns and coach junior staff to deliver on business outcomes.
• Support WIP processes and review cost proposals and project profitability.
