Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to support our Mission Critical sector at the Minneapolis headquarters.

The role handles financial and reporting duties for construction projects, including invoicing, billing, contract administration, and audit-ready controls in collaboration with the construction accounting team and project leadership. Typical responsibilities include billings to schedule, cost projections, and compliance with owner requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting and administrative experience.
• 2 years in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or business-related field of study.
• Strong organizational & analytical skills with knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and audit procedures.
• Able to collaborate and contribute professionally within a team structure.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of each construction project and owner contract requirements.
• Create and administer owner billings to schedule and timekeeping requirements.
• Proactive collection of open receivables.
• Perform project cost review and analysis.
• Support Cost Project Manager with monthly financial projections and cost events.
• Develop processes to meet compliance requirements for owners and authorities.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Director of Construction regarding requirements.
• Administer prime contractor processes including insurance and registrations.
• Provide internal/external customer assistance and respond to accounting questions.
• Maintain web-based project management system.
• Manage accounting and contract closeout with owner.
