Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Accountant to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job-cost activities for complex construction projects. The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with JD Edwards and Textura, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and cross-team collaboration.

You will support project managers by providing financial reports, maintaining budgets, and ensuring subcontract and change-order processes stay in sync with contract terms.

Qualifications

• Associates and working towards a BS/BA in Accounting.
• 2-3 years accounting experience with a General Contractor/Subcontract.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Need good communication and organizational skills.
• JD Edwards experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up new jobs from job data sheet.
• Enter and maintain job budgets as required by project managers.
• Set up prime contracts in accounting system and maintain the change orders.
• Print job reports for project managers as necessary.
• Assist Project Managers and superintendents with financial matters such as setting up accounts with suppliers.
• Assist in job audits.
