Job summary

Macc is seeking a Project Accountant in Armonk, NY to oversee the financial performance of construction projects. You will work with project managers, engineers, and finance to ensure cost tracking, accurate billing, and proactive reporting through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with GAAP and WIP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track project budgets, costs, commitments, and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly job cost reports and analyze project performance.
• Collaborate with project managers on cost-to-complete projections.
• Process subcontractor invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Prepare client billings per contract terms (AIA formats, cost-plus, T&M).
• Assist in revenue recognition and month-end closing.
• Support audits with project documentation.
