Burke Construction Group, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial management for construction projects.

You will set up projects, monitor costs, process subcontractor payments, and prepare owner billings with supporting documentation. Collaborating with Project Managers and the accounting team, you will ensure GAAP compliance, lien and Davis-Bacon/wage requirements, and timely payments.

Formación

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience such as AP/AR or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, basic reconciliations).
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and maintain projects, budgets, and cost codes in the accounting system.
• Review job costs, investigate variances, and monitor project financial reports.
• Prepare weekly project funding status and budget reports for management and Project Managers.
• Attend project startup meetings to establish billing, compliance, and payment requirements.
• Review and process subcontractor pay applications and vendor payables.
• Confirm lien releases and compliance documents are received before releasing payments.
• Prepare and package owner billings with complete supporting documentation.
• Notify teams of payments received from project owners and compile proof of payment for funding requests.
• Set up and review monthly certified payroll records for subcontractors and apprentices.
