Job summary

Eastern Commercial is seeking a highly organized Construction Project Accountant to support the financial and administrative success of our construction projects. This role requires analytical focus and an emphasis on accuracy and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will manage project cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting while maintaining compliant documentation and effective communication with project teams. This is an onsite role based in Johns Creek, GA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, project accounting, or construction administration experience.
• Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Procore or Acumatica preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification required or ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour within six months.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts, purchase orders, and budgets.
• Code and reconcile project expenses, invoices, and credit card transactions.
• Assist with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Monitor retention and holdback schedules and support release documentation.
• Maintain accurate project information, records, and documentation in Procore.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Generate project reports and support project teams with financial information.
• Maintain subcontractor compliance records, including insurance certificates and licenses.
