Job summary

Eastern Commercial, the construction accounting arm of Eastern Companies, is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant to support financial success of projects. You will manage cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting, ensuring documentation stays organized and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and proactive, with experience in construction accounting and a strong commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, project accounting, or construction administration experience.
• Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based environments strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts, PO's and budgets.
• Code and reconcile project expenses, invoices, and credit card transactions.
• Assist with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Monitor retention and holdback schedules and support release documentation.
• Maintain project information and documentation in Procore; track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and communications.
