Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Project Accountant 2 to support the Construction and Operations Team in Seattle. You will manage project setup, asset classification, and vendor contracts while ensuring accurate documentation and cross-department collaboration.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Oracle/POMS; travel for on-site store installations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience with Fixed Asset, Construction or Property Development Industry preferred.
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Oracle, Coupa, Concur, Smartsheet and AI is a plus.
• Ability to review and analyze facts to make accurate decisions, summarize data and create meaningful reports.
• Strong Mathematical acumen with high degree of accuracy.
• High level of curiosity, ownership, and initiative with ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract administration process for Consultants and General Contractors
• Manage project set up in Oracle and Purchasing systems (POMS)
• Review projects for correct Fixed Asset classification and use tax assessment
• Ensure accurate documentation of project transactions, maintaining organized records for auditing and internal review purposes
• Lead On-Site Store Fixture Installation Process, traveling as needed
• Contribute positively to overall daily functioning of the team and cross train employees as needed
• Review operating requirements, practices and procedures determining whether improvements can be made and implement changes as appropriate
