Roth Staffing Companies is seeking an Experienced Construction Project Accountant to join a growing General Contractor team in Las Vegas, NV. This role focuses on multi-project cost accounting, AIA billing, and contract compliance to support project managers and owners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of GC-embedded project accounting experience, deep AIA billing knowledge, and the ability to manage numerous projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Now Hiring: Experienced Construction Project Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Accountant to join a growing General Contractor team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Project Accounting experience within a General Contractor environment and possess a strong understanding of construction billing, project cost accounting, and AIA documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions for multiple active construction projects simultaneously
• Prepare, review, and process AIA billings , including G702 and G703 documents
• Maintain project budgets, cost tracking, invoicing, lien releases, and payment applications
• Work closely with Project Managers to monitor project financial performance
• Process customer billings and ensure all required backup documentation is submitted according to contract requirements
• Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and job profitability
• Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end reporting
• Review subcontractor invoices, releases, and supporting documentation
• Support project teams with financial reporting and contract compliance
• Communicate effectively with owners, customers, project managers, and internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications Top Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of Construction Project Accounting experience

Must have experience working for a General Contractor (not solely a subcontractor)

Strong knowledge of AIA Billing , including:

• G702 Applications and Certificates for Payment
• G703 Continuation Sheets
• Lien waivers and releases
• Construction contract billing requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively with various project managers and personalities

Preferred Software Experience

Experience with any of the following systems is highly preferred:

• ComputerEase (Deltek)
• Procore
• Sage Intacct (or Sage/Timberline experience)

Candidates with experience implementing or transitioning accounting software platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will understand the unique accounting and billing requirements of a General Contractor environment and be comfortable adjusting billing packages based on owner and contract-specific requirements. They will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing numerous active construction projects while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
