Job summary

Ledgent in Sacramento seeks an accounting professional to manage AP/AR for construction projects, ensuring accurate job costing and timely invoicing.

You will support month-end close, vendor management, lien releases, and subcontractor compliance, collaborating with project managers to track costs and billing status. Strong Excel and ERP experience required; 3+ years in project-based industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor setup, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations.
• Handle Accounts Receivable functions, including customer invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate project cost records and ensure expenses are coded to the appropriate jobs and cost codes.
• Assist with project billings, lien releases, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Project Managers to track project costs, billing status, and outstanding receivables.
• Reconcile job-related AP and AR transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with subcontractor compliance, insurance tracking, and contract administration.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
