Job summary
Arlington County Government is seeking a Construction Management Specialist to join the Maintenance Contract section of the Water, Sewer & Streets Bureau. You will manage multiple projects with focus on street paving, sidewalk and curb rehabilitation, performing contract administration, construction oversight, and field inspections to ensure plans, schedules, budgets, and quality are met.
The role supports a significant paving program and may be assigned to one or more sections, handling project
Qualifications
- High school equivalent plus related technical education.
- Three years of experience in construction management, inspection, or contract administration for maintenance methods on asphalt, concrete, water or sewer systems.
- Preference for an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
Responsibilities
- Manage contract administration, construction oversight and field inspections to ensure plans, specifications, schedules, budgets and quality meet requirements.
